am i totally making this up or is this a depiction of the pearl harbor bombing in WWII? (my father is a military historian and i have a history degree, in british history, so i see everything in terms of military history!)

very interesting...glad to hear you guys have a history degree...history channel is one of my fav...WWII, pearl harbor, we can say that,...my work can be "located" in different times and spaces....i would rather say that is more actual, more close to what happened today in Japan....check the symbols used:...the round circle from the flag is now black...all the electronic circuitry, they are the best in electronics and modern technology...the radiation red symbol, also...the white snow falling, is still winter there...just a few thoughts....thank you so much for watching and comment...

my pleasure! i saw the flag and that it was black and i thought i saw airplanes and bombs falling and something that looked like an aerial view of a populated area, i saw the radiation symbol and the electronics, but i guess they could be applied to either today or WWII. it's really cool that there are so many ways to interpret your work. i try to leave it pretty wide open, too. i may have to go look at it again, maybe i'll see something entirely different! :)
